The iaïto (居合刀 iaïtō) is a Japanese training weapon. It is made like a katana (刀 samurai sword) but is not sharpened.

Different materials can be used for the blade: steel (to approximate the katana) or aluminum (for risk-free practice). The iaïtō is used in the practice of iaïdo (居合道 iaïdō, the art of drawing the sword) and iaïjutsu (a technique that emphasizes speed and realistic cutting).
