French medieval armor XVᵗʰ - XVIᵗʰ centuries (miniature)

Reproduction (miniature, 1/3 scale) of a French medieval suit of armor, with sword and stand (delivered mounted).

I'm a scale model replica. I'll still let you dream of the moose that inspired my creator. The knight who wore this armor insisted on having a smaller version to explain its words and features to novices and future knights. This is how I came to participate in the training of many aspirants. Some became great knights, defending the King of France against the English. Others had the unfortunate tendency to see themselves as warriors before their time.
I'm a symbol, the symbol of chivalry, with the sword. I still keep secrets, those I've heard over the centuries. Listen and you'll discover stories and legends of knights, princesses and dragons...

"Medieval arms and armor: Vᵗʰ to XVᵗʰ century," Christophe Gilliot and François de Lannoy.

This album is both a retrospective of the finest medieval arms and armor sold over the last twenty years by the renowned Hermann Historica auction house in Munich, specialized in the sale of historical objects, and a panorama of the evolution of body protection and armament from Carolingian times to the end of the Middle Ages. The first part is devoted to the various elements of body protection (armor and elements of armor, shields and helmets) and brings together more than seventy pieces, including some forty helmets ranging from the VIᵗʰ century to the end of the XVᵗʰ century. The second part covers weaponry from the VIIIᵗʰ century to the end of the XVᵗʰ century: bladed weapons (swords and daggers), impact weapons (axes, maces, hammers and flails), hast weapons (spears, guisarmes, halberds, vouges and lances), draft weapons (crossbows) and firearms. A veritable visual encyclopedia of medieval weaponry, this album presents a total of 226 pieces, accompanied by precise descriptions and magnificent photos. An indispensable work for all those who want to quickly identify and date a piece of medieval weaponry, as well as for all lovers of fine medieval objects.

"Dictionary of offensive and defensive weapons: from the Carlovingian era to the Renaissance", Eugène Viollet-Le-Duc

Renowned for his remarkable architectural construction and restoration work, Eugène Viollet-Le-Duc reveals here a lesser-known aspect of his talent: a masterly study of medieval military customs, listing the weapons of the period and their use. Engravings of exceptional quality illustrate the details of each weapon and suit of armor, accompanied by meticulous descriptions of their handling and functions. A chapter at the end of the book is devoted to the tactics of French armies during the Middle Ages. More than a dictionary, this work is a true history book, a surprisingly realistic account of the living and fighting conditions of medieval warriors. A fascinating book.
