➀ The young hobbit Frodo Baggins inherits a ring. It is the One Ring, an instrument of absolute power that would allow Sauron to rule Middle-earth and enslave its peoples. Unless Frodo and his faithful companions manage to take the Ring to Mordor, where it was forged, and destroy it forever.
➁ The battle for Middle-earth has begun. Frodo and Sam, guided by Gollum, continue their mission across the lands of Mordor to destroy the One Ring. As Sauron's power grows, Aragorn, heir to the throne of Gondor, rallies the army of Men against the forces of Evil, to give the Ring-bearer a chance to complete his quest.
➂ The Fellowship is dissolved, but the quest to destroy the One Ring continues. Accompanied by his faithful Sam and guided by the strange Gollum, Frodo seeks a way into Mordor. As Saruman's army marches on, the other members of the Fellowship prepare for battle. The War of the Ring has begun!
