I was forged in Valinor, in the kingdom of Aman, west of Middle-earth, beyond the sea. Made of the purest gold and silver, I am nonetheless a deadly weapon. Owned by Finrod, I was taken over by his sister, Galadriel. It was thanks to me that she was able to finish off the snow troll in the Orc Citadel.
Founder and first king of Arnor, Elendil took me when Galadriel was rescued at sea. Halbrand, the Man from the South, took me back and returned me to my rightful owner.
My destiny is to serve as a raw material, pure gold and silver, to be mixed after fusion with Mithril, the "true silver" or "silver of Moria", to save the elves through the objects thus created. It is the elven blacksmith Celebrimbor who will give life to the three rings of power...
