Commander's sword

Forged medieval sword, circular pommel with red Templar cross, throat blade, brown and black leather scabbard with adjustable shoulder strap.

I've been with him since the day the young knight, newly knighted, took his vows and joined the Templar brotherhood. Off to the Holy Land with his brothers, he fought like a lion, making a name for himself through his bravery and courage, but also his humility. Discreet in the daily life of the Order, he became an unbeatable warrior on the battlefield, decimating opposing ranks.
Years passed, and he returned to the Land of France. It was then that he took up the title and office of Commandeur. Administering a commandery enabled him to learn and master the workings and organization of the Order. As a sword of arms, I became a sword of adoubement, transmitting the Templar spirit during the reception ceremonies. I accompanied the Commander for several decades, until his death. Since then, I perpetuate his values and maintain his spiritual aura every time I take part in an initiation.

"Le Dernier Jugement des Templiers", Simonetta Cerrini and Françoise Antoine (translation)

Paris, March 11, 1314. On the Île de la Cité, fire ignites the pyre where Jacques de Molay, 23ʳᵈ and last Grand Master of the Order of the Temple, will perish. It was the end of an order and the beginning of a legend that, seven centuries later, continues to intrigue us. Dante was the first to compare their martyrdom to the Passion of Christ, a comparison that Simonetta Cerrini takes up here to give her narrative the form of a Way of the Cross. The papal bull of March 22, 1312, ordering the suppression of the Temple, serves as a breadcrumb trail. The historian leads the investigation, drawing on the labyrinthine mass of archives to shed light and open up the fair trial they never had. It was, in fact, the first major political (and religious) trial in medieval Europe. The author brings the Templars back to life, as we finally hear their prayers from the depths of the cells where they were locked up for months on end and tortured, their words lost against the accusations of heresy, impiety, sodomy... Centuries later, we are touched by their sense of abandonment, their fears, but also their faith, which is still sustained by a certain glimmer of hope, destroyed forever by the flames of the pyres.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I bought a sword and I highly recommend this store!
The sword is beautiful and well worth the price!
On the other hand, because I'm a bit stupid, I jammed a small piece of plastic that was used to protect the blade in its sheath (it's still usable though, so it's not a disaster).
Customer service, shipping and delivery are super fast.
