A great lover of teas, the samurai I served chose my brown-colored mount and saya, which translates as "color of tea" (茶色 Chairo) in Japanese. In the Land of the Rising Sun, brown is a mixture of orange and black. This is my dominant color, sober and discreet.
Forged in the traditional way, I am the fruit of a long process of metallurgy (forging and heat treatment), polishing and sharpening. The waves (刃文 Hamon) that run along my sharp edge form a characteristic and unique signature. I'm a weapon and a symbol. It's a complementarity, not an opposition.
