Carried by my samurai master, I crisscrossed the land to the point where my new mount bears the trace of it. The brown rope is now the symbol of my name, Seishi (聖地 Sacred Earth). It's a fitting tribute, as my birth also took place in the heart of the earth. The ore from which I came, Satetsu (砂鉄), produced Tamahagane (玉鋼). It is from this noble fraction of steel, which the traditional furnace, the Tatara (鑪), produces after five days, that I am made. This is my birth, my history.
But what I'm most proud of is the true tempering line that adorns my blanks. Indeed, it's discreet, but a sign of the metallurgical expertise of those to whom I owe my life. A layer of clay protected my back (棟 Mune) during heat treatment. The result is a wire that's very strong but still flexible. The ripples along my cutting edge (刃 Ha) form a unique signature, the Hamon (刃文).
I come from the earth. I protect it without concession.
