Jacques de Molay" Templar ceremonial sword

Collector's sword, stainless steel blade, cast metal guard, hilt and pommel, red Templar cross on scabbard (metal and sewn synthetic leather), pommel depicting the head of Jacques de Molay, last Grand Master of the Order of the Temple (1244/49-1314).

My vocation is not to be a weapon, but a symbol. I take part in the knighting ceremony, as a reminder and to represent what all quality brotherhoods display at their impetuous receptions. My pommel represents Jacques de Molay's head, not to provoke inappropriate lamentations or unhealthy revenge, but to create a bond stronger than time, space and the artificial structures created by human beings.
The Templar Spirit goes beyond the legal framework of the Order of the Temple, created and dissolved in just two centuries. It's a continuity of mutual aid and cohesion that leads to true solidarity between members, a solidity of network. But if I'm a sword, it's also a reminder that I also represent Justice. Because solidarity is not a one-way street. We'll apply the same energy to defending our people as we do to weeding out parasites who only wish to profit for themselves. Let justice be done!

"Jacques de Molay: The last Grand Master of the Knights Templar", Charly Samson

Exactly seven centuries ago, Jacques de Molay, the last Grand Master of the Order of the Temple, perished at the stake. The life of Jacques de Molay, Templar, monk and soldier, was one of discretion and modesty reserved for the white coats of the Crusades. But it also offered him the highest distinction when he was elected Grand Master. His qualities of honesty, brotherhood, intelligence and diplomacy earned him the respect of heads of state and Templars alike. He also reaped the jealousy and hatred of those whose ambitions clashed with his uprightness. The author presents Jacques de Molay confronted with intrigues, lies and crimes, against the coldness of Philip the Fair, the devious cunning of his advisor Guillaume de Nogaret, and the pitiful personality of Pope Clement V. All three used the sinister services of the Inquisitors. As heir to the secrets and treasures of various kinds held by the Order of the Temple for nearly two centuries, Jacques de Molay also inherited the accusations levelled at this organization. These were used in a shameful trial, where confessions were extracted through cruel torture. He shared the horrible fate of many of his companions, while outside France, Templars dispersed to pursue the mysterious aims of an order that some have warned may be resurgent.

"Jacques de Molay: Le crépuscule des Templiers", Alain Demurger

Jacques de Molay (circa 1244-1314) was the last Grand Master of the Temple, the religious military order founded in the XIIᵗʰ century, whose trial, brought by Philippe le Bel in 1307, still fuels many legends and controversies today. Caught in the trap of a plot that was beyond him and dealt a fatal blow to the Knights Templar, he perished seven hundred years ago in the flames of the stake for refusing to renounce the most powerful order in the West. In this revised and expanded edition, Alain Demurger revisits the career of a man often misjudged by posterity. In a fascinating investigation, he overturns the chronology and facts previously established, and assesses the extent to which the last Grand Master was responsible for the trial of the Temple, and the real motives behind it. An exemplary biography of clarity and precision by the only true specialist on the Knights Templar in France.

I recommend this company. From the order to the result of many comings and goings by email in order to choose the engraving, validate the text.... The result is of high quality and the rendering is incredibly qualitative. The price is very reasonable and the book links seem relevant and welcome.
