Wakō, collectible katana (倭寇 Japanese pirate or bandit)
Decorative Katana with two Kozukas (小柄 knife), marine and pirate decorations, delivered in a black and red cloth-covered box.
I was born seven centuries ago, in a very special forge. The blacksmith who gave birth to me worked in a cave whose only access required climbing a cliff. By the sea, the basaltic cliffs of Tōjinbō (東尋坊 Sakai, Fukui prefecture) are still a geological singularity today.
That's how I served this pirate samurai (倭寇 wakō), back in the XIVᵗʰ century. My master led a ship of 300 warriors and successfully carried out several attacks against the coast of China. Sunk in a battle lost to treachery, I made my way to the mainland, where I was forgotten. After many battles and a reduction in size, I was given a katana mount, but I still retain some characteristics of my origin as a tachi (太刀 ancestor of the katana), especially with the braiding that covers part of my scabbard (鞘 saya). I'm still imbued with the spirit of my pirate master. Time doesn't matter to me. I wait patiently for one who can wield a sword as well as a ship.
